Meta Ads · Facebook & Instagram

Facebook ads fail when they try to sell to everyone

Google reaches people already looking for you. Meta reaches people who weren't — which means the offer has to do all the work. We build one campaign around one offer and test it properly, instead of boosting posts and hoping.

How it works

Three steps from boosted posts to a campaign that learns

We decide who the ad is for and what it offers before anything gets built, launch enough variations for Meta to find the winner, and then feed the budget to it.

1

Offer & audience

We work out who we're trying to reach, the single offer that would make them act, and what has to be true for them to believe it. Targeting, exclusions and the creative brief all follow from that. If you have job photos and video, we edit from them; if not, we shoot first and quote it.

Week 1
2

Build & launch

One campaign, one ad set, up to fifteen ads — different hooks, images and first lines so the platform has something to choose between. Pixel and conversion tracking go in before launch, scoped to $3,000 a month of ad spend per campaign.

Weeks 2–3
3

Test & shift budget

We cut the variations that lose, shift spend to the ones that win, refresh creative before it wears out and manage the budget against the ceiling. Pulse shows your cost per lead on Meta beside Google Ads and organic, so the channels compete on the same number.

The difference between ads and boosted posts

Marketing degree from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. My first job in marketing was a BMX freestyle sponsorship — most of my school years were spent as a sponsored rider, and working the product and promotional side of that is what got me hooked on helping business owners. 15+ years in marketing since.

Boosting a post takes something written for your existing followers and pays to show it to strangers. It occasionally works. Mostly it buys reach from people who were never going to call.

A campaign starts from the other end: who are we trying to reach, what single offer would make them act, and what has to be true for them to believe it. The targeting and the creative both follow from that answer.

What we build

One campaign, one ad set, up to fifteen ads. The ads are variations — different hooks, different images, different first lines — so the platform can find the winner. That's the whole point of the fifteen.

Scoped to $3,000 monthly spend per campaign. Enough volume to learn from, and a ceiling that keeps one campaign from swallowing the budget.

Reporting in Pulse, next to your Google Ads and organic, so you can compare what each channel costs you per lead rather than reading them in isolation.

On creative

Making the ads is separate from running them. Depending on what assets you already have, creative production is a one-time charge of $699 to $1,999 — and that's a conversation we have directly rather than burying it in the scope. If you have good job photos and video already, it's at the low end or skipped entirely.

Where Meta beats Google

Visual work, anything with a before-and-after, local retail, wellness, events, and offers with a deadline. If your product is a want rather than an emergency, Meta is usually the better buy. If someone's AC just died at 4pm in July, that's a Google search, not a Facebook scroll.

Deliverables

What's in a campaign

  • Offer and audience strategy before anything is built
  • One campaign, one ad set, up to 15 ad variations
  • Pixel and conversion tracking setup
  • Audience building and exclusions
  • Ongoing creative testing and budget management
  • Live reporting in Pulse alongside your other channels
Creative production is a one-time charge, quoted separately — $699 to $1,999 when you already have a media library for us to edit from. The range depends on how much usable footage and photography is in it. If you have no assets to work from, we shoot first and quote that separately. Ad spend is paid directly to Meta.

We've had a great experience working with Weslo Digital. They took the time to really listen to our needs and understand where we wanted to take Arctic Air before creating a custom strategy. Instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all marketing plan, they worked with us to create a custom plan that fits our business needs and budget. Their team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us grow.

Highly recommend Brandon and the Weslo Digital team. I run a print company, and Brandon was originally referred to me to order some merch for his business. At the time, I was actually looking for a new marketing team, but Brandon had no idea… Because our business is a little more complex than most, I needed to know he really understood what we do, who our customers are, and what we're trying to accomplish. To me, that's the most important thing a marketing team can do. AI can write emails, create ads, and generate marketing content, but it can't build a personal connection.

FAQ

Fair questions

How is this different from boosting a post?
A boost shows existing content to strangers. A campaign starts from an offer and an audience, then builds creative to match, and tests up to fifteen variations to find what works. The second one can be improved; the first one can only be repeated.
What does creative cost?
A one-time $699 to $1,999 when you already have a media library for us to edit from — the range depends on how much usable footage and photography is in it. If you have good job photos and video it sits at the low end. If you have nothing to work from, we shoot first and quote that separately. We discuss it directly rather than hiding it in the scope.
Should I run Meta or Google?
Google if people search for your service when they need it — emergencies, repairs, urgent problems. Meta if it's a want rather than an emergency, or if the work is visual enough to stop a scroll. Plenty of clients run both.
What happens past $3,000 in monthly spend?
A second campaign generally performs better than pushing more budget through one. Each is priced at $479.
Who owns the ad account and the pixel?
You do. Everything is in your Business Manager with your billing, and we're added with the access we need.
What should my marketing budget be?
The benchmark is a share of annual revenue, set by your category and how fast you want to grow — roughly 5–8% for a home service business holding steady, 12–20% for one scaling hard, and higher for e-commerce. Competition in your market decides where in that band you land. Our marketing budget calculator gives you a monthly figure in about ten seconds, free and with nothing to fill in.
