Organic search is now the number-one way customers find Dr. Don’s: 3.7 million impressions and 86,689 clicks from Google in sixteen months, and more online orders from search than from any other channel.
Dr. Don’s Print Lab has been printing buttons, palm cards, banners and campaign material since 1991 — for unions, political campaigns, organisations and commercial buyers whose orders do not sit neatly under one search term.
The business was well known to the people who already bought from it. Its biggest problem in September 2024 was everyone else: it was not showing up in the local map pack, not visible in its own community, and relying on referrals and repeat buyers while competitors took the searches it should have owned.
A 33-year-old print shop that the people searching for it could not find.
Average position 9.9 across 3.7M impressions; organic is the top channel.
Dr. Don’s is the kind of print shop that gets busy in election years and has to stay found the rest of the time. The customer base is unusually broad — a union local ordering ten thousand buttons, a city-council candidate who needs palm cards by Friday, a company that wants branded merchandise — and each of those buyers searches differently.
The work started where the measurement said it should: technically. Indexing issues, mobile usability and structured data were cleaned up first, so that product, merchant listing and search schema were valid across the site and Google could understand what was being sold. Then came the local work — the Google Business Profile tended weekly, reviews, photos and posts — to get the shop back into the map pack in its own community.
With the foundation sound, we built regional and service landing pages aimed at commercial intent outside the home market, including competitive union-printing searches in California, and reorganised the site so visitors and search engines could move between products, services, industries and regions without getting lost. Email marketing to the existing customer base runs alongside it.
The result is a business where search, not referrals, is the leading way new customers arrive. Over the sixteen months to September 2026 the site earned 3.7 million impressions and 86,689 clicks in Google, at an average position just inside page one, and organic search delivered more sessions than every other channel combined — 93,329 of them, converting into 1,518 online orders.
Service pages aimed at the searches that turn into work.
Local SEOGoogle Business Profile worked weekly — posts, photos, reviews, map coverage.
Every figure on this page is measured: Search Console for impressions, clicks and position; GA4 for sessions and orders by channel. Email marketing runs alongside the search work and is reported separately.
A technical rebuild first, then expansion. The published outcome is visibility rather than a number — page-one placement on competitive regional and service searches, and structured data that validates cleanly across the site.
Printing since 1991, strong repeat business, missing from the map pack and the searches that mattered.
Indexing, mobile and structured data fixed; Google Business Profile worked weekly.
Landing pages built around commercial search intent, including out-of-state union printing; site architecture reorganised.
Organic search becomes the number-one acquisition channel by sessions and by online orders.
Results shown are specific to this client and are not typical. What any business gets back depends on its market, its budget, its pricing and how it handles the leads it receives. Nothing here is a guarantee or a projection of what your business will earn. Figures cover a defined period and we will walk through how each one was measured on the call.
Highly recommend Brandon and the Weslo Digital team. I run a print company, and Brandon was originally referred to me to order some merch for his business. At the time, I was actually looking for a new marketing team, but Brandon had no idea… Because our business is a little more complex than most, I needed to know he really understood what we do, who our customers are, and what we’re trying to accomplish. To me, that’s the most important thing a marketing team can do.

However much or little we run for an account, it reports to one place. No chasing numbers across platforms to find out whether the work is landing.
SEO, Local SEO, Google Ads, Meta, social, video and the website all feed Pulse — leads, calls, spend and traffic in one place, updating as it happens. It is how an account stays accountable instead of being described to you once a month.
Every account we run gets one, with a login of their own. No monthly PDF, no waiting on a report — the numbers are there whenever they want to look.
